Chris Becker’s traditional illustration training and experience is blended with a love for new technologies make images and drawings that communicate and tell a story. Early on, Chris had an illustration win honorable mention in a Utah state art competition. He completed his BFA in Illustration at Brigham Young University by completing a set of 6 digitally created illustrations (the first at BYU) and presented them both printed and digitally with an interactive presentation.
His attention to detail and knowledge carries through to his professional work. While working in Wellesely, MA, Chris was instrumental in selling and procuring traditional and digital illustration and animation work for the companies he worked for (Vipah Interactive, Houghton Mifflin, Houghton Mifflin Interactive, AT&T, Walters Kluwer and many more). One such proposal led their company, Vipah Interactive to create the artwork and engineer four Curious George interactive CD’s. Chris lead up to more than 12 artists and animators to create faithful representations of H. A. Rey’s Curious George in curious antics and educational situations for young children. This ultimately lead Vipah’s art-crew to pitch and win a job for creating traditionally illustrated books of Curious George. They ultimately illustrated 13 Curious George books.
